Did Your Lawmakers Support the Blockage of the Hemp Product Ban Extension?

Recently, during the Continuing Resolution debate, some members of Congress supported Senator Ted Budd's (R-NC) proposed Continuing Resolution amendment to block an extension to enact the hemp product ban and a letter spearheaded by Representative Andy Harris (R-MD) promoting the ban, both of which sought to cut short Congress's opportunity to develop a thoughtful, science-based regulatory framework for hemp products. 

Ultimately the Continuing Resolution passed including a provision giving Congress an additional 30 days to work through a baseline hemp legality framework, but the debate is not over yet.

It's critical that lawmakers hear from the people most affected by these decisions.

Reach out to candidates in your state and district today and tell them: 

  • You support therapeutic, non-intoxicating, full-spectrum hemp products. 

  • You rely on access to safe hemp-derived wellness products. 

  • There is a difference between therapeutic, non-intoxicating hemp versus synthetic and intoxicating high-THC products. 

  • Congress should target unsafe synthetic and intoxicating products without harming Americans that depend on therapeutic hemp.
